It was bugged for me where the gray magnifying glass icon was invisible, but still clicking where it should be worked to bring up the search bar. Try that?
Might be because of forced dark mode extensions/flags?
By the way it’s also available at https://discourse.iced.rs/search, you can even add it as a search shortcut in your browser with https://discourse.iced.rs/search?q=%s.
